No fail banana cake.

I have been doing a bit of pre-Christmas baking and today I made banana cake. It was really easy and hopefully you can make it too.
Hot cake just out of the oven
30 very delicious minutes later.
Gather your ingredients-
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 tablespoons melted prestige margarine.
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten.
  • 2 tsp banana essence
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups plain wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice.
Steps
Mash the bananas and mix with the margarine. With an electric mixer beat in the sugar, salt, egg, banana essence together. Add to the banana-margarine mix. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon. pour into a tin and bake for 40 minutes.   
Let it cool and serve on a cute plate.
I had planned to ice or frost the cake but it didnt stand a chance. My husband ate his with coffee while Jay ate his with yoghurt. The verdict was unanimous- yum, yum, yum! I see more banana cake in my future.

  2. yummm! what temperature is it supposed to bake at, and is the cake dense and heavy? i'm feeling hungry now. heheh
